Godly Royalty Demands HOLINESS.

When we give our lives to Christ, as children, we need to learn the way of the Godly royals so that as we grow, we conduct ourselves appropriately. Even earthly royals, have to be groomed from childhood so that by the time they are grown, they are very comfortable with the lifestyle and conduct of royals.

When we believe and accept Christ into our lives we are immediately empowered to become true sons of God. We receive the spirit that enables us become sons of God (the Spirit of adoption and of grace – the Holy Ghost). He is the seal of son-ship; evidence of royalty.

John 1: 12NLT ‘But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn-not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God’.

Our DNA becomes the God DNA so that we are true royals just like being born into earthly royal families. The grooming then begins. For us, the groomer or teacher is the Holy Spirit and the rules are in the Bible. It is only as we do what He tells us to do thereby manifesting the royal nature that we are true royals. Until then, though the seed is in us and blue blood runs in our veins, we act as commoners so we are commoners because as a man thinks in His heart so is he. Who we are is judged by our actions.

Romans 8: 12&14-‘Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do...For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.’

If we submit to the grooming, we will be holy. Godly royals must be holy. Holiness is the nature of God and the nature of the kingdom. It is the nature of the Holy Spirit. We must stop thinking of holiness as one tedious, boring, stiff way of life. It really isn’t. It is being like God. Doing what God would have done in every situation.

1Peter 1: 14 – 15 NLT - So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.’

God wants us to enjoy our lives though within certain predefined limits. Those limits don’t make life tedious except you make them so. Satan has sold us a lie about holiness. Don’t buy it anymore.

John 10: 10 NLT ‘…my purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.’

Reality is that sometimes we do wrong but there is always room to correct oneself as soon as we find that we have done wrong and guess what! You will know immediately because that conduct will make you uncomfortable since the groomer will let you know instantly except of course if you have silenced Him by consistently doing your will.

  1. wow, what a continuaton from last week.

growing up as a teenager in the late 80s and early nineties we had some interesting fashion trends coming up. one that comes to mind was ripped jeans. my father always had a problem with that, infact i remember once when he called me for one of those famous chats.

he said that this foreign trends i am copying are for the rif raf in this foreign societies that you can never see the royalty of this society wearing such, that it was beneath them.

so reading this blog helps me to understand that certain behavor are beneath a son of the Most High. how can i as a royal be involved in things that the rif raf of the society are involved in (unholiness).

to my fellow christian i have discovered that there is nothing cooler than been a prince and working in holiness, it might not be easy but very possible, we just need a bit of dicipline.

i leave with word from a famous lagos singer.
    ranti omo ti iwo nse
ranti ibi to ti bi e
ranti ile ti o ti jade wa
    ranti omo ti iwo nse

  2. I quote you Pastor B in the 6th paragraph..'If we submit to the grooming, we will be holy'.
Therein lies the problem; submitting to the groomer. I imagine the royalties wondering why they have to go to special schools and not be everywhere they'd love to be and be like everyone else; to be 'normal and ordinary'. It may not even be that we believe the lie that the enemy has sold. It's just that we find it more validating to be 'among'. Let them not think we are 'somehow'. We want people to accept us on their own terms and not on God's terms(it would even have been a bit more honorable to be accepted on our own terms). Whereas we are not ordinary but extraordinary people.
Funny thing is that these other people recognize the light of God in people's lives and they want it but can't quite get it, can't understand it but acknowledge it(John 1:4-5).
Submitting to the groomer is the only way. Let's not get in the way of His work in our lives. Sometimes I feel like God should just leave me abeg because even the tiniest, tiniest things that i think I have a right to do or think He doesn't allow me rest. But God forbid it that He leaves me alone! My light must shine in this dark world and it is being holy that radiates that light.
    Gracias Pastor B!

  3. "But as many as received him,to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that beleive in his name". Jhn1:12
I beleive that like in the early church, false brethen have crept into the church of God today and are influencing us negatively, and selling the "excitement" of the world to us.
When we receive Christ as Lord, the power to become sons of God is given to us. To actually use this power, to become sons of God is our responsibility.
some of the People that received Christ on the same day as we did have not used this power. They remain in church as false bretheren.
As long as we refuse to acknowledge them as such, we will accept their doctrines and ideas, and begin to live them.
There is nothing boring about holines. It is a way of life that guarantees the favour of God, which produces unspeakable joy.
As royals, getting excited is beneath us as we know that people achieve this state with drugs, even cheap ones.
We have the ultimate that money cannot buy, .... joy unspeakable.
We need to use this "power" to become so that we are true royals, and not men and women drunken with wine, high on drugs, and halucinating as royals.
    To thyself be true!
